The Mizzou Tigers were feisty on Sunday afternoon, as top-seeded Kansas paid a visit to Mizzou Arena.
The Tigers forced 22 KU turnovers, 14 in the first half, as Mizzou took a 14-point lead into halftime and cruised to a 76-67 victory over the Jayhawks.
Tamar Bates led all scorers with 29 points and five steals.
Mizzou's win was the first for the program over a number one seed wince Feb. 4, 1997, which was also against KU.
The Tigers (8-1) will look to remain perfect at home on Saturday, when LIU comes to town. First tip is set for 11 a.m.
